Ang Thong National Marine Park is an archipelago of 42 islands and a protected site in the Gulf of Thailand. Experience its famous natural beauty, corals, and marine life on this full day tour.

This relaxed trip includes a number of activities for both the adventure seeker and also the more relaxed type of customer.

We stop at three islands where you will have the option to take part in some of the activities or relax on the beach.

This tour includes snorkeling, kayaking (optional) and trekking up to the most beautiful viewpoints. Experience the stunning Emerald Lake and limestone formations or kayak through the caves after snorkelling in the crystal waters. Our unique boat offers space to relax in the sun or the shade as well as a diving board and slide off the back of the boat for you to enjoy.

We have options available to stay over at the Marine Park for one or two nights. Please not we do not provide accommodation and it is up to the customer to arrange this themselves. Bungalows or camping equipment are available to rent at the Park. Transfer back to Koh Phangan departs the following day around 16:45 (approximate times only).

The 2 days / 1 night option is only available in high season only when weather conditions and lots of tourists are undertaking the tour and tours are running everyday.

After the first days tour, you are free to enjoy the islands on your own and It is possible to rent kayaks to go out on your own and explore whilst you are on the island.

The boat will drop you off at Watalup island at the end of the day tour, where you can then either rent a bungalow if available or a tent and camping equipment. You will then be picked up the following day but you must make arrangements with the boat crew directly on the day of the tour. The boat company does not get involved in booking accommodations so please don't ask. If you want to pre-book a room or tent this can be done at the National Parks website for Mu Ko Ang Thong National Park: http://www.dnp.go.th/parkreserve/reservation.asp?lg=2 then choose the option Mu Ko Ang Thong National Park.

There is a restaurant, fresh coffee shack and bar for those wanting to stay on Watalup island and you can rent kayaks directly on the island so there is no need to undertake them as part of the tour.

There are currently no extra charges from the boat company for providing this drop off/pick up service.

If you decide to stay on the island you can go swimming at your lesisure, check out the dusky lageurs (monkeys) and rent a kayak and go explore other unoccupied islands nearby in the marine park.

This is a trip never to be forgotten and is perfect for children to enjoy the nature.

Out of high season, we advise booking for the 3 day / 2 night trips as these depart on a Monday or Wednesday as trip sechedules change out of high season to operate just 3 days a week.

The boat company accepts no responsibility for weather changes or lack of customers to run the trip on pickup days so trips may not run as planned.

Backpackers Thailand or the boat company cannot be held responsible for any costs incurred to get off the islands if pickups cannot be undertaken.

On multi-day trips please note that the itemised schedule only applies to day one and any further days you are free to undertake activities of your choice in your own time.
